Twenty names to watch for when the college basketball coaching carousel begins to turn--The Athletic
Porter Moser, Loyola Chicago head coach. Moser was a hot property after leading the Ramblers to the 2018 Final Four. Last spring the UNLV athletic director traveled to his home in Illinois to interview him, and St. John’s invited him to New York City and put on the fullcourt press. (Moser left the meeting thinking he would take the job, but decided against it on the flight home.) That says a lot about Moser’s confidence that he can turn Loyola into the Gonzaga of the Midwest. Moser might cool off as a prospect as he gets further from that Final Four run, but if he decides in the next couple of years he ready to make a move, he’ll have plenty of folks willing to pay him handsomely to do it.
