Primarily a collection of news links about all 12 Missouri Valley League teams on a daily basis, culled from online newspapers, school athletic websites, the conference website, and school newspapers, plus some other content from time to time.
Bradley hosts Loyola for their
biggest home game of the year, and the Braves will likely be without
Roberts, who was last seen booted up and not practicing...
Drake and Missouri State
staged a slugfest in their first meeting, with both defenses
effectively shutting down any ball screen action...
Mullins has done some rotation tinkering, and he’s playing Jones and Banks together at about 45% of SIU’s
possessions the past 2 games, as opposed to about half that rate
previously... Carter is unguardable
in this league, and a big reason why I like UNI come
Arch Madness as Jacobson starts to work the offense more around him...
Predictably neither Illinois State nor Valpo did much to slow each other down, but the Birds bailed the Beacs out with 17 turnovers...
Biggest Winner of the Weekend: Loyola
Chicago (18-4, 9-2) is back in sole possession of first place in the
Missouri Valley, thanks to Sunday’s impressive 71-62 win at Missouri
State and Drake’s 74-69 overtime loss to Northern Iowa in Des Moines.
-LOYOLA CHICAGO AT BRADLEY (Missouri Valley). Loyola has looked
really good in their last couple of games and will want to keep that
because any loss against non-tournament caliber teams, which is pretty
much the whole league, will poke holes in their resume.
