Loyola Chicago
HTSR: Hold
(9-2, No. 22 KenPom)The Missouri Valley Conference will be a double-edged sword for the Ramblers. Five other squads are ranked in KenPom’s top 150, and the road environments will be especially pitched when the league darlings come to town. So the wins won’t help Loyola’s stock very much, but a couple of losses will be costly. Still, while Loyola might have a new coach in Drew Valentine, it still has the same old DNA, with an experienced roster and a style that prizes offensive efficiency (22nd nationally) and a slow tempo (315th). And in 6-foot junior Braden Norris, 6-4 senior Lucas Williamson and 6-1 junior Marquise Kennedy, the Ramblers have the type of seasoned perimeter corps that can produce a couple of wins in the NCAA Tournament.
